Guyana Gold Project is currently mining in Northwest Guyana in an area famous for producing gold, and where a gold rush is currently occurring. This small scale gold mining crew of nine persons is producing gold currently in October 2009.  The system of gold recovery is by land dredge and sluice boxes.  This is the same kind of mining that has been going on in Guyana for more than 100 years and is an acceptable practice.
